1. Emaciated (adj): abnormally thin or weak, especially because of illness or a lack of food.
Example: She was so emaciated she could hardly stand.

2. Famine (noun): a widespread scarcity of food, caused by several factors including crop failure, population imbalance, or government policies.
Example: Drought resulted in famine throughout the region.

3. Repatriate (noun): send (someone) back to their own country.
Example: The illegal workers in China were repatriated last month.

4. Intercept (verb): obstruct (someone or something) so as to prevent them to continuing to a destination.
Example: Intelligence agencies intercepted a series of telephone calls.

5. Desolate (adj): (of a place) uninhabited and giving an impression of bleak emptiness.
Example: As a punishment, her family was going to be removed to a desolate location in the countryside.
